Government Contracting : How to Do Business With :

Doing Business With Western Nebraska Veteran's Home

Building maintenance companies in Western Nebraska may want to check in with Gail Reznor at the Western Nebraska Veteran's Home. Gail says that they are always looking for maintenance companies to keep the facility operating.

She explained that the acquisiton process is to ask for quotes from three vendors on any project over $500. Gail encourages area building maintenance contractors to make contact with her at 308-632-0314 to get information on working with the staff at the home. Major renovations with estimates of more than $40,000 would be bid out through the formal state bidding program.

Beyond the building maintenance Gail says that a lot of products come through statewide contracts. Because of the Scottsbluff location, the home does purchase some food products locally rather than off of the state contract.

Health care and medical supplies would generally come from the formal state contracting. Companies wishing to sell those products would need to work with the State Purchasing Bureau in the Department of Administrative Services to obtain information on the bidding process and contract capabilities.
