Government Contracting : How to Do Business With : Doing Business with the Nebraska National GuardThe Nebraska contracting division uses the SPS (Standard Procurement System) and Procurement Defense Desktop (PD2). The use of this system allows the office to automate the identification of commercial vendors for acquisition of services and supplies needed to fulfill the mission requirements of the Air and Army National Guard units. Companies are required to have registered with the CCR. Send this information to the e-mail address contractingne@ne.ngb.army.mil. Electronic Funds Transfer is also mandatory for all contractors who want to do business with the Federal Government. This information will be required when you register on the CCR. All actions between $2,500.00 and $100,000.00 are required to be set-aside for small business. Actions below $2,500.00 are being procured through the use of the Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card. This card is similar to your own VISA credit card. There are currently a combination of over 300 card holders in the Army and Air National Guard. Architect/Engineer and Construction services are a large part of the National Guard contracting business. There are current projects for not only the Nebraska Air and Army National Guard, but also the Puerto Rico Muniz Air National Guard Base, located at Carolina, Puerto Rico. These projects and their availability will be available on the Electronic Bid Systems page. Each of these projects are required to be advertised through the FedBizOpps website.
