Selling Products to the University of Nebraska at Kearney

Those businesses preparing to sell products and services to the University of Nebraska at Kearney may need to be packing a map of the campus, along with a list of the various departments within the University. There is help though in finding those persons who do the purchasing for the various departments.

Director of Business Services Jane Sheldon says if those businesses wishing to sell to UNK will first make contact with her office, then she can assist the businesses in finding those campus organizations that would be most likely to purchase the company's goods and services.

Sheldon's office handles major purchases expected to cost in excess of $40,000. Her office though does not purchase computer hardware or software. Construction projects are also not handled through Sheldon's office. Sheldon and her staff can point contractors in the direction of the persons who make those decisions.

The Purchasing office has recently moved. It is now located in Room 119 in Founders Hall. The phone number is 308-865-8525.

Companies wishing to do business with the University of Nebraska at Kearney need to register with the University of Nebraska system. Registering with any of the campuses of the University will put a business on the registration list at all campuses. This database is shared among the campuses.
