OMB Seeks Comments on Presolicitation Notices

By Andy Alexander

The Federal Acquisition Register (FAR) Secretariat has requested that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) continue collecting information regarding presolicitation notice and response. Presolicitation notices aid prospective contractors in saving time, effort, and money when submitting proposals. This notice also helps to control printing and mailing costs. The presolicitation notice response determines the number of solicitation documents needed for interested offerors. The responses are placed in the contract file and referred to when solicitation documents are ready for mailing. After mailing, the responses remain in the contract file and become a matter of record. Submit comments by January 4, 2008, to FAR Secretariat (VIR), 1800 F Street, NW, Room 4035, Washington, DC 20405.
