2007 Golden Spike Awards

By Andy Alexander

The Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce recently held its 2007 Golden Spike Awards and Mid-Year Review on August 7, 2007 at the Holiday Inn Convention Centre on Grover and 72 nd street in Omaha. The 2007 Golden Spike Awards honor businesses that have been pivotal to Greater Omaha’s growth and development. Selected by each of the Chamber’s six Area Councils within Greater Omaha, the businesses are recognized for their passion for excellence and steadfast dedication to produce a quality and sound business plan.

McCallie Associates, Inc., a client of the NBDC PTAC Program since June 15, 1998, was a recipient of this award. As USSTRATCOM takes on new responsibilities and a greater significance to our national defense, McCallie Associates continues to find ongoing success in providing the IT, engineering, and systems personnel to provide professional staff to these defense contracts. In the process, the company has not only earned a reputation for the quality of its people, but also for the treatment of its people, earning an Excellence in Business Award from the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and being named one of Omaha’s “Best Places to Work.” Founded in 1982 with just a handful of recruiters, it has grown to more than 150 employees. Most of these operate as part of a fully integrated team deployed on projects at client sites throughout the country, with a primary concentration in Greater Omaha.

Congratulations to this PTAC client and also to Mary Graff, NBDC PTAC Program Consultant, for her professional consulting work with this respective company.
